Tommy Saager, ILB, Colorado Mesa University

6’7, 250 lbs

Pros:

  • Displays unusual length for an inside linebacker but uses it to his advantage to stack and shed off blocks.
  • Fluid when he transitions in and out of coverage
  • Diagnoses plays quickly and effectively

Cons:

  • Plays with high pad level at times with along with his height gives offensive lineman a good target to punch
  • Hesitant in zone coverage at times, comfortable in man though needs to work on being consistent in both
  • Needs to have position flexibility at the next level, needs experience at outside linebacker.
