Granahan Named to D3football.com Preseason All-America Team

Headlining the InstantScouting 2018 Elite Class: Division-3 – Defensive Lineman is Senior Joe Granahan of Franklin & Marshall College.

Granahan became just the second F&M player to win Centennial Conference (CC) Defensive Player of the Year, following Jack Savage ’89. He also earned a spot on the first team for the second consecutive year after leading the Conference in sacks (14) and finishing fourth in tackles for the loss (15.5). Granahan ended the season with 49 tackles (36s), four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and an interception. He was also named to the D3football.com All-South Region Second Team.

All-NWC first team had 33 tackles, 11 assisted tackles, 2.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one pass break-up as a junior

DL Caleb Dalzell, Senior, George Fox, Gresham, OR, 6’6″ 260

6’6” all-conference thrower earned himself All-NWC first team honors on the defensive line registering 9.5 sacks and a total of 17 tackles for loss as a junior.

DL Luca Cerasani, Senior, WPI, Abington, MA, 6’3″ 245

Posted 2nd consecutive 8 sack season, while forcing 3 fumbles on his way to earning 1st team all-conference at WPI.

DL Kyle Kilgore, Senior, Bethel, Cottage Grove, MN, 6’3″ 244

Recorded 25 solo tackles and led team with 6 sacks earning 1st team All-MIAC as a junior.

DL Lamar Watson, Senior, Monmouth, Pembroke Township, IL, 6’4″ 240

Basketball and football player earned 1st team all-MIDWEST conference on the gridiron as he notched 7 sacks and a total of 14 tackles for loss.

DL Eli Etienne, Senior, Framingham State, Moorestown, NJ, 6’1″ 270

Short and stout run-stuffing DL earned 1st team All-ECAC selection at Framingham St. Had 4 tackles for loss

DL Isaac Zickafoose, Senior, Bluffton, Middlebury, IN, 6’1″ 270

In 10 games, 1st all-HCAC had 12 tackles for loss including 5 sacks as a junior.

DL Austin Dean, Senior, College at Brockport, Masonville, NY, 6’5″ 291

As a junior, posted 7.5 sacks and a total of 14 tackles for loss earning him 1st team All-Empire 8.

DL Joe Granahan, Senior, Franklin & Marshall, Garnet Valley, PA, 6’2″ 242

DL recorded 14 sacks as a junior yielding him his second consecutive 1st team All-CC award at Franklin & Marshall.
